From Prediction to Power: Applying Weather, Climate Forecasting, and AI in Renewable Energy

Marking the International Day of Clean Energy, the 22nd Renewables Talk will focus on the overarching theme “From Prediction to Power: Applying Weather, Climate Forecasting, and Artificial Intelligence in Renewable Energy”. It will provide an opportunity for IRENA’s Permanent Representatives to explore the potential of modern weather forecasting while engaging directly with leading practitioners. Participants will also have the chance to experience a guided tour of Abu Dhabi’s state-of-the-art National Meteorology Center, gaining first-hand insight into the technologies and innovations driving accurate climate and weather predictions.

The event will be held on 26 January 2026 from 09:30 to 12:30 GST at the National Center of Meteorology in Abu Dhabi.
