Overview
The South East Europe (SEE) Regional Initiative was launched in 2017 with the signing of the Communiqué on Accelerating the Uptake of Renewables in South East Europe, underscoring the region’s substantial, cost-competitive, yet largely untapped renewable energy potential. This landmark agreement reaffirmed IRENA’s commitment to supporting SEE countries in their energy transition through a dedicated Action Plan.
